This week, I am standing firm! I will NOT change out my Fall/Winter Clothes, for Spring/Summer. Yet. This is a (much dreaded) ritual (for all those involved) reserved for the weekend before the first day of Spring. Plus, you Outfit 31 readers know how I love a good challenge!!! It’s kinda fun to brainstorm and think of ways to use some of my cool weather wardrobe pieces in a warmer weather kind of way. It’s fun to think outside the box.
Have you changed over to your Spring wardrobe yet? Do you distinguish certain items as seasonal and pack them away? How do you organize yourself for the seasonal weather/clothing changes? I know, I tend to be a bit OCD about clothes/outfits and want to strike a balance. Maybe your ideas would help me and maybe some other readers too. Additionally, I do not want to shop for my blog. If I buy something I want to buy it because it’s something I need, not something just to picture on my blog–that’s what Polyvore and Pinterest are for. A lot of bloggers fall into that temptation and I want to remain real to myself and to my readers (and NOT broke!!!!). That’s important to me! Also, I want to really focus more on utilizing vintage/consigned/thrifted items to enhance my outfit choices. The fact that the items purchased secondhand have already gone through the shrinking (therefore are more true to size) of first washings, are far less expensive, these choices utilizes my creativity-resulting in a style unique to me, are better for the environment and aid in helping the community; appeal to me. While I’m sure that I will purchase new items sometimes, I do want used clothing to be a good portion of my wardrobe. Let me know your thoughts, I value your opinion.

I so agree with you..I buy things for me…not for my blog. I want my blog to express my real style…worn everyday. I am in a transition for spring, and “re-finding” some of my favorites.
It’s really easy, to be influenced by so many other ideas, loosing sight of your own unique style. There are so many talented bloggers out there, with beautiful websites and a ton of wonderful ideas!!! Too many for any one wardrobe to ever achieve! Even if you were to change your outfit 100 times a day!!! We are blessed to have so much to pick from!!!
love the bag and scarf!
Thanks Megan! I’m really luvin’ this scarf too!!!
I haven’t switched over my closet yet, but I am adding some spring purchases! Thanks so much for sharing your style on Monday Mingle.
Thanks for reading Nicole! My closet will be changed over this weekend!!! Woot! It’s like getting a whole new wardrobe?!
Love the scarf tied on the bag! Thanks so much for linking up to Monday Mingle last week…I hope you’ll join us again this week!
Hi Kristin! The scarf on the bag trick adds so much, to an otherwise plain outfit! Just that little bit of pizzaz!
