Here is a thought about fashion, from a guys perspective, the day after the Super Bowl. Without the actual football game, there would be no ‘Super Bowl.’ Without all the glitzy, blitzy promotions, the event would not be attractive enough to be THE SUPER BOWL! So let’s talk about attraction and fashion. I like the game; avoid the commercials and half time show like the plague (sorry advertisers). It is the substance I’m after. The ‘glitzy-blitzy’ stuff works for most people, because there is a championship game at the center of it. That’s the substance. I think using fashion to be attractive works the same way. If we dress to be attractive; that is attract attention to ourselves only for the purpose of knowing that we are momentarily somebodies ‘eye candy’ for a few seconds, then we have our reward; end of story. If, however, we dress fashionably (wear that which is currently attracting attention and appropriate for the circles in which we operate) in order to attract people, to help or bless them in some way, then our ‘reward’ gets shared, passed on, rippling out for good, in ways we can’t imagine. The ‘game’ at the heart of our attractiveness is our intention! If our intentions (our heart) are aimed at blessing others, then our beauty has substance. Each day of dressing well, has the potential to be a ‘Superbowl’ of blessing for everyone we meet. Glitz is good; substance is better, and makes it Super indeed!
