Day 4
Coco Chanel-Circa 1913
Today's challenge is to emulate someone's fashion style. It could be anyone; real, imaginary, alive, dead, famous or not. Since I find REAL people extremely fascinating--people with a PAST are always interesting, don't you think?--I decided to emulate a fashion icon, who's style is still as huge an influence on fashion today, as it was during her life time.
Coco Chanel started life August 19, 1883 in poverty, a child of an unwed mother and peddler father. In spite of a challenging beginning, she ended up being one of "Time Magazine's 100 The Most Important People of the Century." Read more about her life here.
We all desire to influence the world in a positive way for future generations, to make a difference and see our dreams succeed! To leave a legacy. If you have the seed of a dream in your heart, water it a little today and see it start to sprout! That's what Coco did. And YOU can do it too! Check out other inspiration at Freckles in April! Thank you for reading! Enjoy!

Modify your flap top clutch into a shoulder bag, by adding a long string of pearls! Easy! Isn't it great when you can wear one thing many ways? I also tried it with a gold chain with stones on it. I'll post a photo of it on Facebook and you can decide and tell me which one YOU like better!

Absolutely LOVE the way you “hooked up” the outfit. I can see myself wearing this (Chico’s addict that I am — I have everything shown here — ;o)).
Hey DeeDee! Glad it’s a winner for you!!!
Seriously! Where do you get your creativity to think of these outfits? I’m impressed. Your writing style is also engaging, almost ‘tweet like’ and enjoyable to read. Keep up the good work.
