Recently, I packed to go to the beach. It was only for a couple of days, but I like to pack minimally. Using a variation of this combination, you have up to 20 outfits. You can decrease or increase items, depending on the length of your stay. Here we go:
Top Left:
1 pair heeled sandals
1 pair chucks
1 pair flip flops (metallic matches everything!) + 1 belt + 1 big purse to match
Choose neutrals, makes life simpler. Life’s supposed to be simpler on vacation!
Top Right:
3 skirts
Bottom Left:
3 tanks/t-shirts (Yes, I would so wear the stripe tank with the plaid skirt!)
Bottom Right:
3 shorts
These 12 items can all be mixed and matched with each other. Don’t limit yourself to items that I have listed–if you perfer capris, by all means pack those! This is just a guide for you…
1 White Button Down Shirt (the one in the photo is linen 3/4 sleeved) or a sweater–to wear if your feeling chilled in the evening on the boardwalk, moon lite beach stroll, or to cover arms that you don’t want exposed.
1 Black Jersey Dress/Maxi Dress–to wear with your sandals for a dinner out, with chucks for a breakfast alfresco/shopping or as a cover up for your bathing suit.
1 Black Tunic and white cropped leggins–again, the tunic can double as a cover up or belted to go out and eat crabs!
Bathing Suits-If you put a little bit of thought into it, when you’re purchasing your suits, you can look like a million bucks on the beach. Stay in the same color ranges for your suits when you buy them. That way you can use the same color cover up and even match your sandals with your beach bag. You won’t look thrown together, but will be tres chic!
Don’t forget unmentionables, toiletries, sunglasses and especially sunscreen!
But most of all, don’t forget to have fun!

Hope you had a good time at the beach. I'm going in two more weeks. I can't wait. I've already started packing, so this was a timely post for me. Thanks.
